Celestial Pearl Danios are natively found in very shallow pools of water in Myanmar and Thailand.  These community nano fish have orange fins and a deep blue polka dot (resembling a galaxy and lending to their other name Galaxy Rasbora.) They are a show stopper in any tank.  Heavily planted tanks will allow these fish to feed confident and secure and will bring their colors to their full brilliance. As well as plants, these shoaling fish are happiest with their own kind and should be kept in groups of 10 or more.

Natural Habitat

Celetstial Pearl Danios come from high-elevated, shallow ponds and slow moving streams in Myanmar. These waters are full of aquascape carpets and vegetation.

Feeding and Diet

Celestial Pear Danios (CPD) are a nano-fish. These small fish have small mouths and require small food. Crushed flakes, micro pellets and brine fish are all supreme options for food.

Tankmates and Compatibility

Celestial Pear Danios (CPD) are a peaceful, community fish. They will thrive in a tank of other peaceful community fish, bottom dwellers and adult neocaridina shrimp.

Shrimp Compatibility

While Celestial Pearl Danios (CPD) are adult shrimp safe, these nano fish like to hunt and eat shrimplets. In a shrimp breeding tank, these are not the fish to add. But in an established adult shrimp tank, these CPD's will be fine.

Aquascaping

Celestial Pearl Danios thrive in densely planted aquaecapes featuring dark substrates, driftwood and subdued lighting.
