Assassin Snail

Assassin Snails are silent, but deadly. 

These amazing creatures are natively from Southeast Asia where they live in rivers, streams and lakes with soft beds so they can bury themselves. These beautiful creatures are loved in the fish community for their powerhouse cleaning of unwanted pests. They are strict carnivores feeding on smaller snails, bloodworms, and brine shrimp.  When your tank is overran with bladder snails, these are the beauts you want to add to help with cleanup. 

SIZE:

• Average adult size: .7 - 1.25 inches (1.8 - 3.2 cm)
• Typical purchase size: .5 - 1 inch (1.2 - 2.5 cm)

RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: 

• Temperature: 75° to 80° F (22 - 28 C)
• pH: 7.0 - 8.2
• KH: 4 - 12 dKH 
• Minimum tank size: 5 Gallons (but can be smaller as long as food is provided)
